Pharmacological action:

1.reduce serum cholesterol, letinous edodes can reduce serum cholesterol.
Letinous edodes fiber 80% is chitin. It is a strong material consisting of hard
substances such as fleas, eggs, shells, and crustaceans. In a paper published
in Japan in 1985, chitin was shown to lower serum cholesterol. Letinous
edodes also contains letinous edodes purine. 

2. to enhance the immune system, current research has focused on the function
of letinous edodes as an immunostimulatory agent and its ability to combat many
diseases, including atherosclerosis, cancer, bacterial and viral infections. The
recent letinous edodes scientific interest mainly focused on a large number of
substances contained in letinous edodes, including letinous edodes mycelioid
cell (LEM), which has been in the patients with viral infections such as human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)
showed good treatment. The antiviral activity of letinous edodes LEM may be due
to its ability to induce interferon, a natural chemical that produces cellular immunity
to viral infection. Letinous edodes has also been studied for its ability to reduce
blood clotting, and it now highlights the need to avoid excessive consumption of
letinous edodes for a long time, because of its anticoagulant properties.
